How Lou came into my life
I first saw a picture of Lou back in January 2019 and I instantly knew she was meant to be my little girl. She came home a few weeks later and from that moment on, she quickly became my sweetest companion and such a big part of my everyday life.
About a year later, I started sharing those everyday moments with Lou online. What began as simple photos and videos slowly grew into something more, bringing joy to others while adding so much to my own life, too.
Little by little, Lou found her way into the hearts of dog lovers around the world and a beautiful community began to grow around her and her adventures.
And that’s how Lou the Chichi began.
From Lou's Closet to our shop
As Lou’s photos and videos started reaching more people, one thing became part of her signature: her tiny outfits. She was always dressed in the cutest little looks, and I constantly received messages asking where her clothes were from.
In April 2021, I launched the first version of the boutique: a place where people could shop the exact pieces Lou was wearing and recreate some of her favorite looks for their own pups.
What started as a fun way to share Lou’s style quickly grew into something much bigger - a shop inspired by her personality, her everyday life, and the community that had grown around her.
And that's how the idea for the shop came to life.
Then came Nala
Nala was born on October 7, 2022, and came into the family after my mom completely fell in love with Lou and decided she wanted a tiny companion of her own.
What makes their story even sweeter is that Nala is actually Lou’s biological niece: Lou’s dad is Nala’s grandpa.
Over time, Nala became Lou’s best friend, little partner in crime, and the sweetest addition to the family. Even though Lou and Nala don’t live in the same house, we make sure they see each other as often as possible because they absolutely love spending time together.
And that's how Nala came into our lives.
Before Lou & Nala, there was Jules
Jules was my first dog and he’ll always hold such a special place in my heart. Even though we only had two short years together, he completely changed the way I knew and loved chihuahuas.
Losing him so young was incredibly hard, but the love he left behind stayed with me. In a way, I like to think a little piece of Jules lives on through the love I now share with Lou and Nala.
And that’s how Jules became the reason Chihuahuas will always be so special to me.
